How do we count metrics and handle missing data?
Star and fork cards show current totals. The chart shows net changes between consecutive daily snapshots, including decreases. History starts when collection begins; a missing measurement is not zero.
PRs and issues are counted separately by creation date in UTC. Downloads come from PyPI Stats, exclude known mirrors, and do not represent unique users. The current day is excluded from download counts. PyPI Stats provides around 180 days of history; we preserve older data in the repository. “Partial” means some measurements are missing within the selected period.
The period ends on the date of the latest update. Monthly and yearly groups include only days within the selected period. Projects without a PyPI package show “—”. Public repositories are discovered automatically, excluding forks, archived repositories, and entries in the exclusion list in config.json.
