Claude Duet is Anthropic’s proactive cloud agent, announced on 21 October 2026. Its research preview starts with a waitlist for US Pro, Max and Ultra subscribers. It works across connected apps and keeps working while the user is away. Access and usage follow the preview’s plan conditions.
Which fits your task?¶
Choose Duet when you want a managed proactive assistant and qualify for the preview. Choose AgenticOS when a company needs to configure and share agents, choose model providers and operate its own platform. AgenticOS includes shared Projects, workflows, tables, budgets and approvals. This does not establish feature parity, better answers or stronger security; no Duet account was tested.
