AgenticOS vs Gemini Enterprise¶
Google Gemini Enterprise, formerly Agentspace, gives employees an assistant, enterprise search across Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 and many SaaS tools, Google-made agents such as Deep Research, and a no-code Workflow Builder, all in Google Cloud. AgenticOS gives your organization agents it owns. They run on your infrastructure with any model, and they answer customers and systems as well as employees.

Where AgenticOS goes further¶
Every model, in every agent¶
In Gemini Enterprise the app and Workflow Builder use Gemini models. Claude, Mistral and open-weight models are available only for custom agents built on Google's Agent Platform. In AgenticOS any agent can use any of the 27 providers, including Gemini and Vertex, and switch with one model profile.
Agents beyond the employee's seat¶
Gemini Enterprise serves employees through its own apps and Slack. Google's pages list no public widget or end-user API. An AgenticOS agent can also answer website visitors through a widget, anyone through a hosted page, your systems through the HTTP API, and chat users in Telegram or Mattermost.
No quotas on building¶
Standard edition allows one new agent a day across the pooled project, and Plus ten. AgenticOS has no seat fee and no creation quota. An agent costs what its model calls cost, capped by its budget.
Governance that is the same for every agent¶
In Gemini Enterprise, custom, partner and A2A agents and controls such as VPC-SC and CMEK need Standard or Plus. In AgenticOS every agent goes through the same runner, with the same permissions, approvals, budget checks and audit log, whatever surface starts it.
Data where you decide¶
Gemini Enterprise offers residency in the regions Google supports. AgenticOS keeps conversations, documents and vectors in your Postgres. With a self-hosted model, the whole path stays on your network.
When Gemini Enterprise is the better fit¶
- The main need is permission-aware search across Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 and many SaaS tools, with actions.
- You want Google's own agents, such as Deep Research and Gemini Notebook.
- Your organization runs on Google Cloud and governs through its IAM, audit logs and Model Armor.
Try it on one task¶
Build the shared document agent in Workflow Builder and in AgenticOS. Then switch each to a non-Gemini model, and publish it to someone without a seat. Record what each allows with the comparison method.
Frequently asked questions¶
Is AgenticOS an alternative to Google Gemini Enterprise?¶
For agents your organization owns and publishes, yes. AgenticOS runs on your infrastructure, uses any model in every agent and answers customers as well as employees. For enterprise search across Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, Gemini Enterprise fits better.
Can AgenticOS use Gemini models?¶
Yes, through Google Gemini or Vertex AI model profiles, two of the 27 providers AgenticOS supports.
Does AgenticOS limit how many agents you can create?¶
No. There is no seat fee and no creation quota. An agent costs what its model calls cost, up to its budget.
Where does AgenticOS store data?¶
In stores you run, wherever you deploy it: conversations, documents and vectors in Postgres, and files in a media volume or your S3 bucket. With a self-hosted model, prompts do not leave your network.
