AgenticOS vs Wonderful¶
Wonderful sells a closed enterprise AI platform together with forward-deployed teams who build the agents inside your organization and hand over ownership in phases. AgenticOS is an open platform your organization owns from day one. Its source is Apache-2.0, it runs on your infrastructure, and implementation help from Vstorm is scoped separately.
The question is less which software is better and more what you want to own when the project ends: a contract with a platform vendor, or the platform itself.
Maintained by the AgenticOS team at Vstorm. Sources checked 25 September 2026. AgenticOS baseline: v0.0.504. Wonderful scope: its public AI OS, deployment, agents, gateway and safety pages and funding announcement, not a negotiated contract or tested account.
At a glance¶
| Area | Wonderful | AgenticOS |
|---|---|---|
| What you buy | A platform with deployment teams and strategists | Software you run; implementation help agreed separately |
| Source | Proprietary; export of agents and configuration through its UI or API | Apache-2.0; the whole platform is readable and forkable |
| Where it runs | Multi-tenant SaaS, single-tenant, your cloud, or air-gapped on-premises | Your infrastructure, with Docker Compose |
| Pricing | Not published; sales-led | No licence fee; models, infrastructure and any agreed services |
| Channels | Voice, chat, email, WhatsApp and SMS | Web chat, widget, hosted page, HTTP API, WebSocket, Slack, Telegram, Mattermost |
| Models | Routed per task by the platform | Your choice from 27 providers, set per model profile |
| Governance | AI Gateway with budget caps per team and audit logs | Budgets per agent and per organization, approvals and a tamper-evident audit log |
| Compliance claims | SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001:2022, PCI DSS, GDPR | Your controls on your infrastructure; see security |
Where AgenticOS goes further¶
You own the platform, not a licence to it¶
Wonderful describes exports of agents, skills, tools and governance configuration, and a headless API. That is a real commitment. The runtime stays closed, so an exported agent still needs somewhere to run.
With AgenticOS the runtime is the part you own. The source is Apache-2.0, specs export as YAML into your repository, and the data sits in stores you run: Postgres, plus the media and workspace volumes a backup covers. If you part ways with Vstorm, the deployment keeps running and another team can operate it.
A cost model you can see before you sign¶
Wonderful publishes no prices. AgenticOS has no licence or seat fee. You pay your model providers at their rates, the cost screen shows what each agent spent, and budgets stop an agent before the next model request once it reaches its cap. The implementation scope with Vstorm is agreed per project.
Your team keeps the know-how¶
Wonderful's delivery model moves from Wonderful-led work to client ownership in phases. AgenticOS is built so your own people can change agents from the start. A business owner edits instructions and publishes a version. An engineer adds a capability in typed Python, and it appears for everyone to use.
Controls you can inspect¶
Wonderful's certifications cover its own service. With AgenticOS you inspect the controls themselves: the permission catalog, the vault, the audit log and its hash chain, and the refusal tests that run in CI. The HIPAA profile and the data-protection-report command give evidence for one deployment. Your certification covers your deployment.
When Wonderful is the better fit¶
- You want a vendor to own delivery end to end, across many markets and languages.
- Customer-facing voice, WhatsApp or SMS agents are the main use case. AgenticOS has none of these channels.
- You need a vendor's own certifications, such as SOC 2 Type II and PCI DSS, rather than your own controls.
Questions for the delivery agreement¶
Ask both vendors the same questions.
| Area | Settle before the pilot |
|---|---|
| Infrastructure | Where does each component run, and who updates and restores it? |
| Data and access | Which services receive data, and who maintains identities and credentials? |
| Process | Who defines the task, handles exceptions and accepts its results? |
| Support | Who handles incidents, with what agreed coverage? |
| Exit | What code, configuration and data can the client keep, and can it keep running without the vendor? |
With AgenticOS, Vstorm can discuss installation on client infrastructure, documentation, process design and custom development. Support, maintenance, integrations and response commitments are agreed for the project; they do not come automatically with the repository.
Define one checkable task using the document example and operating guide. For implementation help, contact Vstorm or Kacper. Compare the agreed delivery scope alongside the software criteria.
Frequently asked questions¶
Is AgenticOS an alternative to Wonderful?¶
For organizations that want to own the platform, yes. AgenticOS is open source and runs on your infrastructure, and Vstorm can help implement it. Wonderful delivers a closed platform with its own deployment teams.
Can AgenticOS be deployed on-premises?¶
Yes. It runs with Docker Compose on your own host. With a local model, the whole path can stay on your network.
Does AgenticOS support voice or WhatsApp agents?¶
Not yet. Its surfaces are web chat, a widget, a hosted page, the HTTP API, a WebSocket, Slack, Telegram and Mattermost.
What happens if we stop working with Vstorm?¶
The deployment keeps running. The source is Apache-2.0, specs export as YAML, and the data is in stores you run: Postgres plus media and workspace volumes. Another team can operate it.
